I agree with you on the TransAm being a dog compared to the GTO. One of the best runners that I had was a 70 GTO Judge with Ram Air III engine and 4-speed Muncie. I still regret selling it back in the early 90's !
I have no problems with the Muncie 4-speed in mine, car runs like a dream, on very hot summer days temp guage seems to go up a bit. On the other hand, my 69 Charger (383 Magnum with 727) runs as cool as a cucumber no matter what the outside temp is, I really love this about it. This pic of the...
This is my 70 GTO, restored to original, 400 cu. Muncie 4-speed. This car was made at the Oshawa plant in Canada. This sits next to my 69 Charger in the garage, I rotate them when going to shows or cruise-ins.....
I have a 69 Charger with 727 trans and 8 3/4 rear, what other MOPAR driveshafts will interchange with this? I'm fairly certain that the GTX and RR and Superbee will, but what about the Coronets and Satellites, also what years
of these cars will interchange?

I've noticed there are two different 727 transmissions for my 69 Charger, one is for the 383 with 2bbl and one for the 383 with 4 bbl. What are the differences ? Is the 383 4bbl trans more heavy duty than the 383 2 bbl ?
Could they interchange with no problems ?

The picture is how they worked and parked last week, they seemed to work Ok back in 2017. Now, since then I have done work behind the dash bezel, new switch (roller) that dims the interior lights, not sure of what else. Maybe something with the wiring to wiper switch ?

I had to have my wipers on recently (1st time in over 5 years). Turned them off when I got the car back in the garage and this is as far as the wipers would recede (see pic). How do I get them to go back down into park position ?
tks,
