The Edelbrock Performer is pretty good for stock to mild engines, but the ports need to be gasket matched for a 340/360 as they neck down to 318 size near the gasket area.
On the one I have, the EGR / emission version, the ports are pretty much 340/360 size except about 1/2" (maybe a bit more)...
I think if the outputs are connected together that one alternator will only be generating power if/when the other alternator can't keep up with the electrical demand, but slight differences in the internal regulator settings could have one alternator doing most of the work. It will work, but...
I like the old 4 drawer Craftsman tool sets in the black plastic case. The ones where the top drawer is 1/4", second is 3/8", third is 1/2", and the deep bottom drawer has the combination wrenches. The box size is easy to move around, and I'll often take a socket drawer out to have when...
Bought some Summit Bronze single-stage for the Coronet 500 trunk pan replacement, but haven't used it yet.
Hope to get that done this summer. Not sure the shelf life of the paint/activator?
The Bronze says to use a black primer/undercoat.
You can't have too many tools, they keep growing legs and run off, or find the universe black hole in the garage never to be seen again. Or left them in the car door to be found years later when replacing the window motor :(
Not exactly the body of a Brit. Original body design, style is Italian.
From the Jensen Owners Club "The original design penned by Touring of Milan was taken to Vignale of Turin who had the capability to produce the car in much higher numbers than Touring. Fully trimmed and painted bodyshells...
I wouldn't use aluminum line. I did in the past and after a few years it cracked.
I use stainless steel lines where I can, but they can be difficult to bend and flair.
The Copper-Nickle lines are a good choice if you want something easier to bend than stainless lines.
Any progress?
Troubleshooting, I like to isolate / remove the parts of the system when there is intermittent problems.
The external fuel system with electric pump to the carb isolates the engines fueling to just the car itself.
If you disconnect the alternator, voltage regulator, and other...
That only triggers the neutral safety relay for the starter. Nothing related to how the engine runs.
maybe check fuel tank venting?
I have has many fuel system issues in the past to where I just by-pass the original fuel system when trouble-shooting.
I rig up an electric pump to pull fuel from...
Update: Got the ring set, opened the "Summit" box, and the rings are bagged in "Total Seal" labeled bags.
Not sure if they are the exact same set Total Seal sells for $600, or a slightly different set?
Even the Moly rings are expensive now. Total Seal Moly rings from 440 Source are $175, Summit Racing is almost the same price ($164) Hastings Moly rings are $148. This was looking at the 4.375" bore 1/6x1/6x3/16" rings.
For expensive, look at doing cylinder heads with Beryllium Copper valve...
Trying something new/different, bought a set of the Summit Racing brand Pro GPX Gas Ported Piston rings.
These have the coated steel top ring.
At just $208.99 / set I figured I'd try them as I can't afford the Total Seal AP steel version at $642.33
Has anyone used these rings, can't find any...
I think if your 600 HP or less and only 0.030" overbore any big block should be OK?
I would sonic check the bores just for the information in case it has real bad core shift
