493 (440 stroker) 3500 stall - Dana 60 w/3:54's - Currently runs 11:93 - Question: how much would my ET be with 4:11's? thnx guys

Have you ever raced before.

I dont plan on racing my car. It was just a rhetorical question. I would like to hear from an experienced person to address my curiosity

I'm sure John is spot on... But you'd also lose the ability to jump on the freeway for a longer cruise....... Well, not really, depends on how much listening to your engine spinning along at 3800+ rpm's you can tolerate.... Back in the 70's & 80's I did a few 500+ mile drives in a Challenger with a 440+6 & 4.10 gears.... These days I doubt I could do it again.... Though I must admit I still like having 4.30's in one of my Challengers... But it has O/D so it's fine on the freeway...

It all depends on a few things. Tire size, Trans type (Manual or Auto) convertor stall, trans cooler and how much you'll tolerate. That tire in the image looks rather tall and wide, so 410's would not give anymore stress.
With a 28.5 tire and 410's, it keeps the plugs clean at 2900-3000 RPM coasting at 55-60 mph which is nothing.
If noise is a factor for some, these types of cars should not be in the cards.

4.11's?
Well, first thing you'd have to do is take out the Dana60 and install a GM 12-bolt rear,
since the Dana ratio closest to that would be 4.10's...

And still yet 3.55 suck on a highway drive. That’s why I have 2 overdrives lol

You will be happier with the 3.54s.

This from a guy with cars currently with 3.50s, 3.91s, 4,10s 4.30s and 4.57s. 3.50 Opel, bbc
3.91 62 savoy
4.10 69 rr a12
4.30 33 Imperial.
4.57 64 English ford.

With the stroker that's a nice combo with the 3.54. Probably 2 tenths as suggested above and totally not worth the hassle for a car you drive on the street. I've driven lots of cars with 4.10s and you get tired of just driving around town with them.

If you plan on driving much 4.10's will get old fast unless you run a tall tire. Put 4.10's in my Satellite 26" tire 5 miles down the road I had enough! 3000 rpm and getting passed by everybody. I'd look at 3.73's I'd call that the upper limit. I had 3.54's for years went from CT. to Niagara Falls no problem. Had 5.13's in a 62 Dodge Dart with a race Hemi talk about a kick in the ***. First time I floored it, saw only the headliner.

Hi
Nice car. I have a silver and black 69 sunroof car. You pose an interesting question. Mine is a stock 440 super track pack car with a dana 60 4:10. I think she turned 12.8s back in the day. Swap the gear and find out. I run the 4:10s with a gear venders OD now.

I have one car with 3.54 Dana and a 2nd car with 3.91s
Both cars have a 2.45-60-15 tire

I will go on record. 3.91s suck for anything hiway speeds related. BUT are A LOT of fun around town driving.

They are about to drop to 3.55s or maybe ,just maybe 3.23s
Im picking up a center diff (s) next weekend
