I'm not a fan of resto-mods... Part of the fun with these old cars is the feel, the sound, and most definately the smell. You cannot get that with a resto-mod. My version of a resto-mod: 1972 Dodge Demon, late-model hemi, 6-speed (with 4 speed shifter knob) 15x10 steel rims in back, with steelies up front. No ac/heater, no radio, just the plain in your face these cars are known for! That, is my idea of a resto-mod. I plan to build it within the next 5 years... Just my opinion though!

Wheels probably make the most profound statement of any about a car--notice what the wheel mods do for waygun's afore-posted station wagon. I'm obviously partial to steelies, but I can appreciate the look of any wheel combination when I consider the change it makes in the vehicle's appearance. It's all part of the owner's plan (or lack of) for the car.

Dang, what a bad lookin mother f#@ker.

Already looks perfect to me in the picture, stance and all. I wouldnt change a thing.

I don't understand.....why would you build the type of car you don't like?

They both look nice. I like classic and I like modern. I am doing things to my car that other people will say "what the he** did he do that for" but it's my car and if I am happy that's what counts. If you like more wheel get the bigger ones. You have to be satisfied with the money you spend. I am looking at the same thing right now. What wheels to get, I might just go a little bigger and get 16"s for my vert.

stick with the 15's and put some 275/60 tires out back...looks good that way

never heard of a MT or Hoosier coming apart in the traps - even their street stuff.

I prefer 15" Magnum 500's myself. I really hate the look of the larger low profile crap. Oh, and btw, I drove my 69Bee in Germany for over 2 years, averaging 130MPH on the autobahn all the time, and never lost a tire. Just sayin...

looks like the "ghetto wheels" are getting voted down!

BAHAHAHAHAHA he said ghetto wheels BAHAHAHAHA I think I shot milk out of my nose...

Keep the 15's and level it out rakes went out with the 80's lol shown how it is dog

You don't need to pick from any extremes, just up an inch to 16" and you'll have lots more tire choices, and not much visual difference from a 15".

You can even get 16" versions of the old rallye style wheels if you like...

15" Wheels or Upsizing

You can always go with Classic look and still go bigger. I put 16" Magnum 500 on my 73 RR but they are available in larger sizes. Only thing is this won't be the cheaper option but depends on what you want to spend.
