My business is across the Hudson River from the Towers. After I heard about the first hit, I went up on my roof. It was a beautiful sunny day, just like today. There was just a tall column of black smoke rising in the air. Later in the day, you could smell it even on my side of the river. One of my best friends worked on Wall Street. He had to walk all the way up to the George Washington Bridge (about 12 miles) to get out of the city. Cell phones weren't working (overloaded) so he called me on my landline from a payphone to pick him up and drive him home. I just spoke to him. Hard to imagine it's 15 years already. And after what happened, it's amazing that so many people are still blind to the evil that lives among us today. RIP to all who perished that day. God bless America.

Over the years, many of the news outlets have become so p/c that they now won't show the planes hitting, the jumpers or that the nationality of the terrorists.

I thought they didnt show the Jumpers or the plane hitting just out of Respect. That stuff is Graphic.

I had business in NY in Nov. two months after 9/11 ..when I drove out of the tunnel entering Manhattan there were National Guardsmen standing on street corners with assault weapons on my New York streets. I remember it made me extremely angry and put tears in my eyes to see them and to know they needed to be there. ...........RIP

I NEVER stopped being Pissed.Angers me more that so many worry about being PC when it comes down to who & why,,,,,,,,,,,

I watched the tribute untill about lunch time and became too irate to continue watching. I tear up every time I watch the reading of the names.

And they don't show the Muslims cheering in the streets anymore either.....is that out of respect too? And like someone mention earlier here I think, I too haven't met a single moderate Muslim that denounces what happened on 9/11! Even on social media, they get irate when you start talking with them about 9/11 and and what their brothers are doing today. They will never stand up against the so called radicals and will defend 'Mohatemed' to the end.

I had a part-time job then installing generators in blood mobiles,bookmobiles,mobile classrooms&police command posts. We had sold a Greyhound size command post to NYC about a yr. before and it almost got damaged from falling debris."pops" got it right- never forgive/forget...

Addendum- the NY bus had so many radios in it that the guys that came to check it before delivery said they could to everyone(space shuttle included) except for a submarine!

It still burns in my head to this day. I didn't know anyone in New York, nor do I care for the city. But I feel like I lost family that day. I will never let it go!

So much for limited comments today..... These people have to be extra screened and interviewed when entering this country. its just the way it is. There were Muslims very happy that day,if you recall i wrote about a specific incident which a co worker actually witnessed and how NYPD took them away the next day and BTW i don't think they (cheering scumbags) returned to that job. When you think of Muslims you think of those dark middle eastern types but thats not always the case and many of them you cant tell the difference. The vast majority don't support terrorism but your correct they don't speak out the way we think they should and i think there afraid to. Were obviously at war and still are with a element of Muslims and we need to address that like now. The president has launched many attacks against terrorists and killed many of the top echelon. Look it up its all there. Our brave service people are fighting them and deafening them. Maybe its not enough i don't know but i do know bending over backwards to kiss there *** here in this country and worry's about offended them is simple bullshit. Obama recently put forth a Muslim for nominee to supreme court,we now have not one but two Muslim holidays were NYC public school kids get off. Think of who killed all those New Yorkers and we have a Holiday for them,how fucked up is that? Im disgusted but then again I'm disgusted of everything and correct me if I'm wrong any person entering this country gets green card can but a semi auto rifle. Do i have that right? So your a Muslim you hate the country,F-ing obama administration welcomes you with open arms and the NRA says buy any weapon you want as long as you pass a background check and you people have no problem with that. Ive had it,elect Trump, Hillary is half a con artist anyway. Im not voting for either one anyway. I don't care who's the next president and we will reap what we sow in this country,mark my words

I have lived on Long Island all my life.Now that there is no dragstrip on LI,I pass through NYC everytime I go to a dragstrip.I live 15 miles out of Manhatten and have been in "that" city thousands of times,it's part of my life. I lost a part of me on that day 15 years ago. I watched as the new Freedom Tower was built and have posted out the windsheild pic's that show it during it's construction.Letting these refugees into the US is the worst thing that can be.The US should treat these Mooslems as Russia and China do.If nothing is done soon,the vid's we see from Europe of these animals commiting rape,looting and riots will soon be from HERE.
I am praying that our new POTUS will rectify the situation.I hear of settlements like the one in Boise Idaho where government housing is full of Burkas and totally supported by OUR government. I say send them all back, I would rather deal with a Mexican than a Muslem.
I'm worried for my children,,,,,,,,,and scared for my grandchildren.

This day makes my blood boil. I cried 15 years ago for the thousands we lost and will forever remember who did this to us!

I cried on that day too in 2001. Then I called my engineering squadron and asked if I could go back on active duty (USAF) and they said "yes"! I spent the next 6 years on active duty at McGuire AFB. I love this country and the privileges it bestows upon us. I wish that our politicians cared half as much as we do.
