Kern Dog, I like where you start out saying it was a 75° day! Haven't seen that in 5-6 months. Your lucky. Z- man
Thanks a lot, now I need to get together a tool/parts kit together. Used to bury my head in the sand. X’d fingers before.I used to be nervous about driving the car out of town. I did not like parking the car out of my view either. One time, a buddy wanted us to drive both of our classics from Sacramento to Van Nuys for the Spring Fling. He is always short on cash and picked the "Good Nite" Inn off of 101 north of Malibu. The parking spaces are really narrow there! I first checked the site out on Google Earth and told him I would not park my car there. Door dings or scratches looked to be a certainty at that place.
Something I read way back about oil-filled/epoxy about orientation??? Sorry about problem tho. Even if no one’s around, it’s embarrasing; hate that crap!I blame MSD...sort of.
Their instructions do list that the coil is to be mounted vertically and I had it horizontal...for several years before it failed.View attachment 582445

The 'ol girl needs some lovin' but only gets some chocolates. Gotta spend some money now and then!I guess the old girl wanted some attention on your anniversary! Did you get her anything special?
Well, I’m trying to save stress on the body; that bending gets to you pretty quick! Plus when the wear block wears down your dwell/timing changes. Back when we were 18-20, we just re-adjusted! Now, I like to know it’s all just the same no matter the miles, lol. No one runs points anymore?? Man, can't get any simpler than that! So what if you have to tune it once a year. If you use good parts and know how to tune it, it'll last at least a year.....AND, they don't let you down for the most part. Axe me how I know.
