To the members that may have an interest! The red 2dr Fury has a 69 ,,440,done professionally to nascar type specs, and what I mean is high R's,for a long time about 475 hp and stay together, this took a lot of after market parts and know how to get it right(as most will know& many ways to get it done)To back up the added HP the 727 push button was rebuilt with more custom parts with lock up and reverse valve body,8 3/4" diff w/ 323 gears ,it was built for fun crusin only , and hope still getting thumbs up,as a example of early modified mopar muscle, and to drive in style.

Always interested in how people modify their cars. The 62-65s were always my favorite.

Hello fellow '63 Fury gents, here's a couple photos of mine taken this morning sitting in its usual storage spot. 42 degrees here this morning so the driving days are waning fast here in WI. Did several things this year including brake conversion, 3:55 gearing, 15-inch magnums, new 235/65 radials, new exhaust, and stereo system. If it works out...to rebuild the 318 and 727 over winter. My old motor machining sources have dried up due to those guys retiring. The Fury came out of southern CA in '89 and bought it in '95 sitting in a guy's garage under tarps still with its CA plates/title. Other stuff I did over the years was add a 4bbl, electronic ignition, buckets, Legendary interior, Just Dashes-dash and '62 Plymouth gauges w/ tach. Bunch of other stuff like HD leafs, etc. Time for body work as well, but have to pick and choose projects and budget...

That is a excellent project, it is so hard to beat the looks of a 63 fury convertible ,The lines seem to flow just right,,,could look at them forever!!!But driving one will be even better,,,keep up the great work. What 4barrel intake did you use??I found a stock cast iron, low profile 4 barrel, but maybe from older 318

Jim - I did this some years ago and will have to check on the manifold as I don't recall anymore. I had to install a riser when I put on the carb as the secondary plates were too large for the mani ports. I did research on the AFB carb not too long ago finding it was one of the carbs Chrysler put on the 426 motors of the era. I was wondering about over carb but another member said this carb is fine and well it's run great for years; but now have some internal issue to deal with #2 cylinder or valve as I've detected so far. The #'s on the mani: 1859229 with 2 and R...

My guess is maybe from an earlier 318 motor '62 or earlier as the '63 318 didn't come with a 4bbl or duals as I recall. I have an old dual quad 318 manifold (57 or 58) sitting on the shelf I had once thought of installing after rebuilding with added horses; but have nixed this for the added hassle of tuning and cruising other than how nifty it would be to have the set up for shows.

By "duals" in my above reply I mean dual exhaust (not dual 4bbl). I added dual exhaust when putting on the 4bbl. I think '62 still had dual exhaust option but was dumped in '63.

Ya,put dual exhausts on almost 1st month after getting it on the road,,one of the old school exhaust guys, gave me a good deal, just for the pleasure of working on a real car again( Sounds Great)the single just didn't do it!

Put TTI 2 1/2 in. X pipe with electric cut outs in mine. Looks and sounds great !
