Need some help guys. I have a 1964 Dodge Polara 500, it is an original power brake car. It has been converted over to front disc brakes. My brake booster started leaking so I ordered a brake booster/master cylinder kit for Performance Online. I liked the kit because the master cylinder is set up for a front disc brake car and it has a proportioning valve.

But, what appeared to be a nice kit does not fit. Their bracket system has a bolt pattern for a non-power brake car (Master Cylinder bolted to the Firewall instead of the Brake Booster). Does anyone know of a kit made for an original power brake car? I can send my brake booster in to get it rebuilt, but I was wanting to get a matched set.

If you decide to send your booster out I suggest you use Booster Dewey.
Do a google search he has done several for me.

I had to send my booster out on my 65 coronet. Once it got there, I was told that there were no replacement parts for the specific brand that mine was. Had to buy a core and have it rebuilt. Little over $400 later.... You could use a firewall plate and brake pedal from a manual brake car with the new booster.

Called Booster Dewey. Seems like a very knowledgeable person. Gave him a description and he knew exactly what I had. They are going to rebuild the booster and install a disc brake master cylinder. Reasonable cost of $337 for everything. Thanks for the suggestion. Should have went this route first rather than wasting a week on Performance Online only to find out their kit would not fit.

Let me know if he still puts a bag of M&M's with your order.
