Started the wiring on the Belvedere, starter works and engine fires, power to the fuse box but nothing works as far as accessoreies, wipers/heater motor/horns, lights are not all hooked up yet so have not looked at that yet. The wiper motor worked before it was installed. All wiring hooked up, when I charge the wiper motor, the voltage regulator gives a faint click. powere on both sides of the fuses. Interesting, and a challenge at the same time. Any ideas. All wiring is stock and seems to be in good condition.

Check the ground. You could simply use a jumper from the negative battery terminal and touch it to the wiper motor. If it works you know you have a wiper motor ground issue. Or body ground. Make sure all the grounds are good.

Are they all listed on the wiring diagram?

Yes they should all be on the wiring diagram. If you haven't already you should scrape the paint off of the body where the grounds connect this will save you lots of headaches down the road as well.

Your major ground points will be the negative battery cable, which should go to the engine block, and the inner fender. There should also be a braided ground cable at the rear of the engine that goes to the firewall.

Got the battery cable from the block but, I do not understand the (to the inner fenderwell) comment. I do not have the braided cable from the block to the firewall, also, stupid question but being on jackstands should not bother? Do you know about where the braided cable should go from/to on the firewall? Thanks.

ground strap.jpgnegative cablw.jpg here are examples of the braided ground strap that attach to the back of the right side head and attaches to fire wall, and the negative battery cable has the thicker wire that goes to the front of the left head, and the smaller wire that goes to the inner fender. or somewhere to the body.

Thanks alot.. We will see how that works.
