1967 Plymouth Belvedere II

Picked up a 1987 318. Came out of running truck with good oil pressure and compression. Tore into it. The cylinders and bearings look good. I plan on Aluminum heads, Howards Cam, intake, and long tube headers. Paid $120 for the motor from a fellow gear head.

Yes it’s a roller cam motor

nice, the heads should be #302 swirl port chamber that look like heart shape. #308 are 360 heads.If not cracked(they had a problem with them cracking between the I&E) are a good head for a 318.I know you are going aluminum but someone may want them.

Yes the heads are 4323303 with the heart shape. They would need to be rebuilt. There is one threaded accessory boss that is broken on one of them.

Cleaning everything up. Decided to run the 302 heads.

Some more progress. New heads, oil pump, pan, new cam bearings. Regrind roller cam .480/.488.

I hope so. I have to get a new torque converter, intake, long tubes, and a few odds and ends and it will be good.

Putting together a 1970 318 to put in my 63 Belvedere 4 door. Need a few more things.Next month I'll start bolting it in the car. Need a fun driver and a 318 63 "B" will do the job !

In October I picked up a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II. The car came out of Missouri and made it to Massachusetts before I bought it. It came with a 273 V8 with a Commando intake/cam, Holley 4 BBl, MSD billet distributor, 904 trans with a B&M shifter, 8 3/4 rear. The car is super clean, undercarriage is pristine. The interior is close to mint minus a few rips in the seat fabric and three cracks in the dash. How I bought it.
