1968 Charger w/ 6.1L, 6 speed, and RMS AlterKtion/4 link

I may get some static on this post, but the marker lights have been deleted. The wheel lips were also trimmed.

It's your ride, but I would have left the marker lights, they define the 68. I like them so much I replaced the generic trailer store marker lights on my 73 Charger with the 68 marker lights.

I do like the 68 marker lights...but I have them on two other 68's I own so I decided to do something different

A cut was made along the bottom right quarter panel so the quarter panel could be pulled in match the door profile.

Right door hinge was rebuilt and then the right door to quarter gap was set before welding the leading edge of the right quarter...

Attention to detail is all over this car!! Good job!!

Nice progress.. I like the shaved side markers myself. Why muck up such sexy lines with markers right:thumbsup:

You’ve got some skills!

The quarter panel caps didn't fit very well, so the quarters were massaged to get a better fit.

Great work. Glad to hear you are doing so well and were so lucky that they found it in time. I'd send that doc a christmas card and jelly of the month club every year.
So how bad was the 69 you were driving? Did it make it out? Glad you were ok but good on your wife insisting you go get checked out too.

The 69 Charger was hurt pretty bad. I really consider myself fortunate. While my future was in jeopardy, I let it go. Its now overseas and has been rebuilt!

The decklid lip had some rust bubbles so a patch was made...

Excellent work as always
Thank you!

I bought a new AMD rear bumper for this car....I've been a bit disappointed in it. The yellow tape to show you the profile of the edge, which wanders. It will be powdercoated satin black anyway, so the edge was shaved so it would be straight/parallel with the taillight panel. Compare the gaps between the bumper and taillight panel and you will see the difference

Well to be honest, even the stock ones were not all that straight and you obviously have higher standards than a typical restoration so I guess modification is or should be expected.
