1968 Coronet 500 Project

Very nice!!!! How did the trim sit on the rear window? I was told 3/8ths is the correct ribbon seal for my back glass. With your 5/16 is the trim nice and flat, down towards glass a bit or up? THANKS!

The first time I bought both and after a lot dry fitting and measuring I decided I had no idea how I could ever get the trim on with the 3/8". The trim has a slight gap in the bottom corners (the double curve area) but that is a difficult to fit area anyway with the 5/16". The rest fits about right but I do have to really work on the double thick seams to get it to lay down and snap in on the top sides. No idea how I could make it say in with 3/8"

Looks great Jim! What's next on the list?
Rechroming.... bumpers at the minimum. Trying to decide if I just buy new trim since OER is now reproducing everything (last parts due in a few weeks)..... Will likely wait till monsoons to put in-op for a month or two.....

I broke my plastic inner window trim pulling it off since it was stuck to the ribbon sealant that squeezed out in a few places.

Did you have any trouble with the ribbon seal sticking to your inner window trim?

Rear? I just put the glass it a year ago so it was soft so no. Originally it came off fairly easy

Whoever put the window in mine was sloppy. I would think the trim should just snap on the pinch weld without sticking to the ribbon seal on the glass.

Somebody help me. I think I just bought a 73 Duster 318 with Factory air PS PB that has been sitting in the desert for 25 years for my daughter and I to restore for her. All original except for apparently cheesy bucket seats added sometime on the past. Contingent on him getting a title, bought the land to get the stash of cars..... if it is as he says when I look at it in person next week.....

Didn't you just tell me no new projects last week?
