Johnny as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer I fully understand the wiring and it's issues... that and as a 16 year old kid I put the dash fire out in our '69 Fury II by disconnecting the battery and throwing sand up under the dash while on the side of the road. Fire got so bad I was able to dump sand DOWN through the dash as well! I saved it and rewired it and drove it for another 2 years and that fire taught me to stare at the amp gauge. That said, the Bee has lasted 50 years on what it had for wiring.. some of it getting pretty warm and deformed. Every bulkhead connector has been replaced, all terminals clean, tight and I'm good to go. My SuperBird is no different, no issues to date with OE wiring and if it burns, well apparently I can auction the hull off for good money even after the insurance company pays me out on agreed value!
