1969 Dodge Super Bee Coupe Restoration

I can't get over how beautiful that Blue is. With the White stripe it's really gonna pop!

Not me... Therapy's still at the beauty shop and the wife has me doing this... FFS !

Dad's bee .....quit fooling around with the kitchen renovation....we want more superbee pictures:thumbsup:

Oh trust me I'm trying!!! The little camper is pretty pissed off about the whole thing... but Brownie points go a long way, especially when they promote you to Beaver Scout !

Well what's to be repainted is ready for the painter and that ain't me! I only paint on the first round with no trim / floor / furniture around so that means I'm out of here and off to the paint shop tomorrow for a final "walk around" of Therapy. Then I can get her back early next week and hopefully spend some time in the shop this weekend getting my front grill underway. Once the paint, in the house, is done I'll be back on the "honey clock" to pull the laundry apart, so the floor can be done there and in the kitchen. Again I get a bye on that so I can work on my car until I have to rebuild the laundry room and put the baseboard trim back on. WOOOHOOOO ! I also had to cancel the 10 day boys ice fishing trip to camp due to terrible lake conditions, so what time I lost in the house I can now recoup in the shop when I should have been gone.

All and all I'm not too upset by the house work, I've wanted this yellow and pink gone since the day she made me apply it 22 years ago! Just hoping the next colours aren't worse.... (I should finish the basement some day as well... but don't mention that to her okay?!)

I've been following your tread, and the bee looks great, I have a question, what color is the one in the car or the code and brand, I like it for my coronet , thanks in advance.

This is alot of pressure on dadsbee:thumbsup:to produce

As noted a few times throughout the thread, it's House of Kolors solvent based "Shimmrin" HOK403 . Base coat (gray), 4 coats of Blue, coat of Klear interfaced and then 2 more coats of Klear that are, as of this morning, all cut and buffed ready for my morning inspection. Talk to your financial advisor before committing to HOK paint! :D

Wedding still in April(?). Your better could change her mind on interior colors before then! ( don’t ask!) Better thoroughly plan ahead, or, just throw up your hands! I foresee a few brewskis in your near future.

Getting her hot towel therapy at the Spa.

All cut and buffed.

Looks like she came out nice.

Look at them hips.

Shinier than the top of my head.

Time for antenna mount and some trim.

Still clean, that was my biggest fear of all.

A few things yet to "touch up" and I pick Therapy up next week.

Apparently I get a free truck with every body and paint job. It's in my trailer to make room in the shop. Good thing I ordered an extra foot high trailer..
