1969 Dodge Super Bee Coupe Restoration

Have always said, I'm not worried about my driving it's the other jackasses on the road. Why I had Hagerty cover me WELL.

A very satisfying feeling knowing that you rebuilt or restored every part on the car and installed EVERY nut / bolt and it still gets you home!

Now that looks like nothing but a good time after alot of hard work... congratulations Wayne:thumbsup:

Car looks and sounds great!
Fun to see some leaves on your trees finally. Beautiful country.

Love the sound of the whine of the four speed and Dana!

Thanks Justin!! Just a lowly old 8 3/4" but you're right.. love the whine of the A833. Amazed at how she pulled up the hill with the 2.94's and the secondaries even kicked in. First carb I've rebuilt in 30+ years and it looks like I got it and my timing spot on. No stumbles, no black smoke ... she just purrs! I gambled at downsizing the 750 from 72's to 70 jets and seems to be what it needed. Need to pull the plugs and have a peak, as I have 69's and 68's I can put in if need be.

wayne on thread 37 you show roof rail foam looks like two different sizes you recall what size and where did you get foam? thanks

Can you be just a tad more specific as to what reply # you are referring to Johnny??? I do not see anything that shows two sizes of roof rail foam, nor did I use two sizes of roof rail foam. Open cell possibly on the B pillar trim just so it wasn't metal on metal.. same foam I used around the rear flip outs. As to where I ordered it from almost 4 years ago... whom ever I got all the other door seals from.. lol

Just to update... FIVE weeks later and the final bubbles have disappeared! Don't get in too much of a hurry to pop them with a pin, as you'll be sorry later when the hole starts to open up and collects dirt. I did a few on day one and wish I hadn't !!!

That's what it's all about Wayne, fix & drive with a smile on your face.

It was when it all started. Jen was on her final strokes, I needed a good distraction and the idea was to get it mechanically sound again to try and find some much needed smiles. Then I got a LITTLE carried away in my "therapy", to the point I wondered myself if it would be garage or trailer bound for the rest of it's life as I'd made it too "pretty". Then I just decided, it's just a car.. that I use to run down gravel roads at over 100 MPH, how much can I hurt it out cruising. Worst part is getting it to pavement from the house, after that it's just watching out for others that can't drive! Saw two out of three kids yesterday for Father's Day, out cruising I was with #3.

LOL... sits right on the 190 Stat... no matter how hard I push it or how long I sit idling. Of course it was recored, but only a double like stock. Why I can never figure out why people play with aftermarket rads.

Yes what a beautiful car and your daughter would be proud. what a great write up on your car enjoy it.
