1969 HP exhaust leak

I would give Remflex a try as well. I have been using them for headers and collectors with good results.

Found the leak. Also felt a little air from the heat riser shaft. I did see 2 small cracks, with no evidence of leaking.

I ordered new hardware.
Also have the Remflex gaskets for the intake to head and the flange.
Just waiting on the hardware to arrive.

Thank you all

Check the flatness of the manifold to head flange while you have them off. Mine developed a leak on the passenger side at the center ports so I replaced the gasket, but it started leaking again right away. Pulled the manifold again and checked the flatness with a straight edge and found the center ports were about 0.020" inboard of the outer flanges. Had it machined flat and no more problems. Driver’s side started leaking a year or two later - same thing.

The are 68 HP manifolds that had been on the car over 20 years before I started having problems.
