1969 ratrod dodge charger

Gotta make some aluminum dimple die'd filler panels to fit inside all the triangulated bars. I'm going to scotch pad all the bars and clear coat them for a brushed look. Then brush all the aluminum filler panels.

I couldn't stand looking at the deep crease in the quarter, rat rod or not it was an eye sore. Luckily I just did quarters on another guys charger and I kept the takeoffs, so used a section to fix mine.

Made sway bar brackets that welded to the clamp on brackets. Still gotta make the end link brackets

again, you do some nice work...

got the cage tied into the shock tower now. i left a hole above the shock thru the tower so i can make a shock tower connector brace in the engine bay. also finished installing the donor quarter skin piece from a customers old take off

did alot since my last post...now going with jerico 4 speed, finished the cage, making new tubular lower control arms for coilovers that actually ride on a "real" bushing, converted the car to 4 speed pedals and welded up the exhaust.

Nice stuff/great fab work as normal smb03

my tubular lowers for the stock k frame. couldnt use he stock lowers as once you remove the torsion the control arm rotates metal on metal and then nothing to keep the arms from slidding off the bushing. so i made some adjustable length ones, fixing the poor lower ball joint angle on lowered cars and adjustable caster on the strut tube

got the lower control arm setup done but now i want rack and pinion so im probably not going to use this now. ill just make another tubular k frame for it. dangit lol

Great fab work! I love the exhaust and the drifting in a big car would be a scream! We used to do it before it had a name!

Awesome welding! I wish mine would look that good. I make good strong welds but they are never that uniform. And great looking car! Kind of Mad Max looking.

Your a funny guy:lol: scrap metal laying around the shop,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,1st time,,,,,,,,,,,,yea right:rofl:

lol actually all the metal i used is really the scrap left over from my buddies golf cart fab buisness. if i use his scrap i dont have to buy a sheet of metal. i think the "1st time" reference is towards the cage right? if so it was my first cage ive done by myself. i did do one prior and it was all out of wack luckily it was a jallopy dirt track car and didnt really matter too much lol. i will admit i wasted alot of material from bending wrong.

That some great scrap,no doubt about it.Your wingin' it score is a perfect 10.
Btw,,,,your welding bead is awsome!!

built a spoiler and exhaust bezel. waiting on nascar spoiler braces to show to finish it off
