Could any one post or explain how the vent lines were installed and connected to the tank from the factory please .
Putting together a super bee and floors have all been replaced and don't have the original vent pipes or floor gromets .
Need to buy or make / fabricate.
Thanks Cj

One thing to be aware of is that the two vent lines inside the tank are not interchangeable. One is longer and reaches to the rear of the tank, and the other is shorter and only reaches the front of the tank. My understanding is that this was to ensure that one would always be above the fuel during braking and acceleration. The vent lines outside the tank are also different. There is a shorter one that vents in the crossmember just above the front of the tank. This one should be connected to the longer one inside the tank. The longer one outside the tank passes up into the trunk, makes a loop, and exits through the trunk floor, it should be connected to the shorter one inside the tank. The vent lines inside the tank are sometimes swapped in reproduction tanks. I replaced my stock Mopar tank with an aftermarket one and found the long and short lines inside the tank exited the tank swapped. This makes for a bit of ugly plumbing outside the tank to swap the connections back. I don't know how common the swapping of vent lines in reproduction fuel tanks is, but I have seen it mentioned in a few places. If you are fabricating your own vent lines, you can make them up so the swap looks like it was designed that way. Cheers!

^^^^ YEP! All shown in the link I provided him. Many re-manufactured tanks have the lines swapped.

Thanks for help but the link above does not show the vent lines inside the trunk or under car .
I need pictures of how the are mounted / pass through the trunk please

If you follow the thread through I'm pretty sure it does... since it's my restoration thread. It even shows how to make sure which vent line is which inside the tank.

Just followed it through myself in case I had a brain cramp... but it most certainly does show everything you need to know... :poke:

I must not know how to use the link do I need to copy and paste on a computer? On the phone it does not show the tank stuff.

It should take you to a page on dodgecharger.com where I started the tank work and you should be able to scroll through that thread no differently than you do here.
