1970 charger 2 barrel carb question/opinion

The only way any carb other than a factory carb will require an adapter.

Just about every time an adapter is used, the air flow thru the carb is disrupted, usually manifested in higher pressure drop thru carb then an additional pressure drop to the manifolds plenum, causing a mixture velocity to slow down and cause

unequal cylinder filling or distribution. If you want/need more CFMs, change the manifold with a complimentary 4 bbl carb .....of your choice....Carter or Edelbrock or Holley.....remembering NOT TO OVER CARB the application consider 500-650 CFM range would be good choice.....just my opinion.......others will disagree........bigger is not necessarily better........
