Hi all,
I’d figure I’d start here

Bought this 70’ over Christmas of 2021’ and made the 4,400 mile return trip from Woodstock, ON to Calgary, Alberta Canada and back in 7 long days.

The charger was imported into Canada in the early 2000s’ from Idaho almost in the condition I have it today. The Idaho owner had apparently taken it partially apart for a restoration before encountering health issues and eventually sold it to a car guy from Alberta.

I was fortunate to had seen the car on Kijiji and negotiated a price.

I drove out to Calgary with out a trailer and purchased one out there before picking up my project. Only one flat tire on the truck! Overall a good trip considering the weather and time of year.

I’ll continue to share my current progress as I push to get this gem ready for summer 2024’

Cheers
W

Here’s some pics of my matching numbers 383 and disassembly, one of the original owners had previously painted it blue to match the b5 on car but the orange was still underneath

I’ve got the trunk floor rough cut out this morning, still more to go. My goal here is to save the good and only use what I need out of a full reproduction trunk floor pan.

Update - Center trunk floor is rough fitted. Drilling and Cleco to follow before final scribe marks and cutting for gap/plug welding
