Is it finished? I haven't seen an update for months, been wondering.
Sorry I have been slacking on the updates again...I had the car fully up and running minus some fine tuning of the experimental inverter controller. During testing the inverter burned up and I blew the main 2000 amp pyro fuse. So I swapped out the inverter and controller to keep the tesla programming in place and it is night and day better! Just finishing up the details getting ready for SEMA.

Very cool! I’ve been following long on youtube.

Seeing this in person is so much better than videos! Just amazing and kudos on the build! You cleaned it up and hid all the wires. Awesomeness!

****. I thought this thread was about putting a satellite engine in a tesla car, and got all excited.

Regardless, incredible work.

Congratulations on SEMA invite. Gotta respect the skill and determination.

I'm not going to muck up your thread with the whole electric is our future debate. It's a nice looking car. I have some concerns on your high voltage layout as I work for an automaker and I've worked with all the safety protocols we have in place for our ev cars. These things aren't as prevalent or selling as well as one might think.
Hope you have Fun at SEMA

Ok, changed my mind, thanks for the input...lol
You could easily build a tube frame and add the
kit body of your choice. This would allow for
components added to be an integral part of the
design. A lighter body would also help with
extending the operational range. Coil over springs
and shocks, 4 wheel disc.
The transition from gas to elec ain't gonna
happen overnight. I'd wait for technologies and
infrastructure to improve before attempting
this endeavour. But I digress....it's your $$$.
What you build now, is going to be literally
a pieced together pile of parts in 15-20 years.
Current technologies just aren't where they need
to be just yet.
My 46 years as a mechanical engineer are offering
this kind advice.
The big three at tis point, are investing roughly
20% of their total new vehicle production as EV's.
That should tell you something. I'd build your
classic for what it is.....American Muscle.
Once done, sell it (if not too attached) to finance
your EV pursuits.

SEMA and Holley high voltage were great, here is my latest video and some other videos with clips of the Plymouth also.
