Hey all, new to the forum. My apologies if this has already been covered...

i have a fully rebuild 318 and I believe I have the 904... Have to hop under there and check again to be sure.

My question is,
ive got the opportunity to purchase a used 1979 440 with a 727 torque flight with 39k miles, if I purchased it I'd freshen it up with some new seals and what not. Can this year engine be dropped in?

Also, I'm finding it incredibly hard top out my finger on where I can get the big block motor mounts. There's so much back and forth about even having to do it. I'll be upgrading the torsion bar... I was hoping someone had a link where I could definitivly purchase the motor mounts I require.

I appreciate your time, absolutely love this car. Going to buy a second one for my cusin to work on when he turns 16.

Welcome to fbbo.Yeah, it will drop in. Check out www.engine-swaps.com. but before we get to that, where you getting the motor from? Are you sure its a 440? Do you know how to check? You seem new to mopars in general and I don't wanna see anyone get burned.

Private seller, and I Sure do, I'll check the cast numbers when I go make sure it isn't too beat up. Really looking forward to doing this in my drive way.... I'm sure my mother will flip.

K member info/modification. I'd imagine this is very useful if your car is before 73 and is a slant 6.
