1975 ignition control module toasting another one..

None of the above....someone mentioned nichrome wire....which alloy?? The common type is 80/20 % nichrome (nickel/chrome) but did you have a specific alloy in mind?? As they have different resistive characteristics and respond differently. ....just curious.....
BOB RENTON

Alloy 675 (Nichrome 60)

(Nickel: 60%, Iron 24%, Chromium 16%)

Was frequently used when moisture was prevalent, subject to more severe use and operating conditions..

Just my $0.02...

HI,
I think I'm just going to go back to stock stuff with new ICM , coil and resistors. On the duel resistors How do I know which is which and which wires to connect to which in case there are wrong now/?
I'm chasing a no start when cold issue with my converted Mopar Electronic system. As soon as I get my ECU and pick up from halifaxhops, I hope I get it working. If not, I'm going back to a points style distributor with a Pertronix Ignitor I. Simple and usually trouble free. I don't need anything high performance or mega volt. Just something that is no maintenance and works. Simple and effective. Oh and the Pertronix works up to 16 volts. @pedal2themetal

I already did, but with one MJ00005 transistor (the closer I could find, just to test for the fix) which was one I found at a local electronic shop in Venezuela. I just made the pot cut on transistor area and got success getting back to life the Module. Just need to replace it now with the NOS MJ00012 I found on eBay later.

The MP box is one of the laters one, so the potting was pretty much solid… and it was more like a rubberish compound.

For my build I preffer to keep the stockish system as posible.
Replying myself.

I was forgotten I had already replaced the transistor with the correct one, NOS. Simply couldn’t test it on car because was disassembled at the moment (still)

Here the pics of how I made it! Didn’t removed all the back potting seal, just cut the transistor area. Previously made the same with the MJ0005 one and got it back to life.

Found this pics searching for some others. Pics are from Jan 2018.

(On a side note, found a cheap Flamethrower 1.5 ohms coil: paid $29.99 on eBay)
