1979 Chrysler 300 Registry

Here's another update although it's good new/bad news:

cbodies.com (Murray Park) in Toledo Ohio told me he has (13) 1979 Chrysler 300s on his property ALL of which are being picked apart and sold for parts. His website does not show all 13 (only 1 that I could see) but in an email that he and I were going back and forth about parts for my car, he said that he has 13 of them. This brings us up to 98 confirmed with 34 confirmed in a salvage yard or crushed.

Not a real 300. Need to see the fender tag to be sure. This one has been for sale on and off for a few years now.

Cool thanks, my list is on a thumb drive in my office, I will add them when I am in the office on Tuesday. I will list the one with the rotted K-Frame as "off road"

Northeast300, this is a great idea but in order to be sure you should also require a picture or "rubbing" of the fender tag. As you know the 300 was an option on a Cordoba. The tag must have a "A74" for an American version or a "A84" for a Canadian version. You can option a Cordoba with a "A36" HD trailer package and the "E58" a 360 4bbl engine. The 300 also had true duel exhaust which you couldn't get with a power assist drivers seat as the floor was dropped down for the seat motor and wouldn't clear the catalytic converter.

I have one of the red cars listed but only the VIN (SS22G9R214545) I got it from an old registry that someone started but seemed to have been left untouched since 2008.

I was unaware of the A36 option until recently and always though that the 300 VINs began with SS22L9******

Out of the 103 VINs I have collected, 37 of them are confirmed to be scrapped, crushed or in a salvage yard with no hope of seeing the road again.

In the US they will all begin SS22L9.
In Canada they could be purchased with engine options E44 - a 318 2bbl , E45 - 318 4bbl HD or E57 - 360 2bbl. so in Canada they would be SS22G9, SS22H9 or SS22J9 as well as SS22L9.
People need to remember the 300 was an option not a Model. In Canada it was an appearance package.

Added 2 more to the registry! One in Ottawa Ontario and the other in Georgia! I am up to 108 so far with 38 confirmed crushed or in a salvage yard.

sunroofs and T-tops were options yes, however all of the 300s that left the factory were hard tops. Those that were designated to have a modified roof were sent to American Sunroof Corp. for the modifications.

You might try contacting American Sunroof if still in business as they may have those VIN that were modified.

Looks very clean! I see the same VINs you see but seems odd to have to different numbers?
