I am compiling list of VINs for our 1979 300s. I know there are some registries out there already but most don't seem to be updated or edited much in years. I pulled about 50 VINs off of one that was last edited in 2004 and will build off of that! Even if you know of one in a junk yard or sold yours and know where it is, let me know!

If everyone can send me the following information I will add you to my list! You can PM me or post it in this thread.
1. SS22L9R175084
2. Tim McElligott
3. Fenton, MO
4. Date of Manufacture: Need Help to Locate
5. Options, None

Is there a way to view the registry? I would love to keep tabs on 300's near me. Here are my 2 300's. Both are sunroof cars.

I just noticed from my previous post. One of my 300's was made in USA, the other was made in CANADA. How interesting.

To make sure mine are on registry.
1. SS22L9R184487
SS22L9R240663
2. Jason Grantz
3. Joplin, Mo
4. 1-79,6-79
5. Sunroof (both)

I will add these VINs tomorrow! I can share the list as it is so far, it's just a spreadsheet for now. I plan on adding photos and statistical information as well.

I have 2 300s and Northeast300 I believe should have them on his list as I posted them on this tread. I have been keeping a running data base on 300's since I got my first one. When they appear on eBay or Craigslist I save all pictures and description of the vehicle buy the VIN number if its available otherwise by the location given, right now it has about 165 cars. Some could be duplicates where VINs aren't listed. My list was inspired by this site, http://www.rattlerig.com/1979Chrysler300.html, which unfortunately isn't updated anymore but was a great source. The file I have going is at 615 mb so not sure how I can share this with anyone that wants it short of mailing it out on a disk

If it was posted in this thread, then it's on the list! I started my list of VINs with what is listed on rattlerig and built it from there. I have close to 200 VINs so far with about 45 of them confirmed crushed or in a salvage yard being picked for parts.

Looking through all of those pics, there are some odd things....I've never seen a '79 300 with a hood ornament, side body molding or a polished roof molding and the rear spoiler. Obviously someone could have added all of those at some point. Like mine, someone added a 1/2 vinyl roof somewhere along the it's 40 years of life.

Also, the advertised car has a power driver's seat; and '79 300s didn't have power seats because the dimple in the floor needed for clearance of the seat motor would have interfered with the cat converter and not allowed a dual exhaust system. Interestingly, no cats appear in the pictures of the dual exhaust system for this car. The routing of the exhaust pipes looks odd to me too.

Canadian market cars could have power seats (Mine does) as there was no Cat. Vinyl roof with opera lights? 80's hood ornament, emblems in the wrong location, wrong paint under the hood/trunk, rear wing etc seems to me to be how a Chebby guy would modify it
