I have a '79 300 with 84,000 miles that I picked up pretty cheap and quickly learned that I have something fairly rare. Then I learned that finding parts is hard to do! It doesn't need much and to be honest I am not sure if I want to restore it or preserve it. From what I can tell it's a survivor and has spent it's entire life here in Massachusetts. New England winters can be very rough on cars but this one was taken care of for sure! I have done a lot of research and even sent a letter to the Chrysler History Department. All they could tell me is that 5,500 were slated to be built to order and that only 3,811 were build and sold in the U.S. I would be interested in starting a registry for 79-300 owners but I am happy to have found this forum with other owners! I only have a few pictures loaded right now but will upload more soon.

Sounds like a killer find. Great Job. Yea its hard to choose what to do preserve it or restore it.
