ocdart Good luck with the home improvement project...

Thanks...never dreamed this would turn into what it has.
Simple replacement of an over-the-range 18-year old microwave oven.
Of course the mounting system turned out to be completely different than the old oven and it took a while to remember how the old one went in so I could get it out.
Then the hole necessary for the cord to go into the cabinet above was in a different location.
And finally the exhaust vent location in the oven is slightly different necessitating new in-the-cabinet duct work. Finally picked up a flexible aluminum duct tube last night and then couldn't get it on to the bottom of the vent tube from the roof - the bottom of the vent tube is above the top of the cabinet and no way to fit the flex tube to it. Going to hit Home Depot after work for a short piece of non-flex duct and then trim it to give me a mounting location down in the cabinet.
I want to get this job DONE so I can move on to the next "honey-do"! Need to get these done and keep Momma happy so I can work on my Dart!

Another Mopar Added To The U.S. Nationals Pro Stock Field...

Aaron Stanfield (Greg Stanfield's son) will be driving one of the Mopars from the Allen Johnson Racing stable according to competitionplus.com.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
Chris Karamesine's granddaughter is driving an A-Fuel dragster at the 2015 U.S. Nationals. She wants to eventually drive a Top Fuel car just like her dad and her granddad.
Sure can't hurt to have the "Greek" sign your A-Fuel license.
Here's a link to the story on competitionplus.com:

Good to see maybe another Mopar/Dart racing @ INDY
hope he can qualify

ocdart yep a "Happy Wife, makes for a Happy Life"

I read on somewhere {maybe Dragzine} today in testing for the
GM/Chevy Performance Indy US Nationals {I hate that name}
T/F Crampton & F/C Haggan were fastest in the fuel classes

In case you may not already have read, Spencer Massey is out of his Top Fuel ride at DSR due to an unspecified violation of DSR policy. All Don would say in the various stories online is that Massey would not correct the violation.
Khalid alBalooshi will take over the empty seat starting at the U.S. Nationals.

Here's your Tuesday before the event reminder to get your picks posted before the start of qualifying for the 61st annual U.S. Nationals.
The first round of Pro Qualifying is scheduled to start at 6:30PM EDT (3:30PM PDT) on Friday, Sept. 4.
You better check to make sure your driver is participating at the U.S. Nationals because there have been some major changes recently.
PLEASE check http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist18.aspx for an updated entry list.
NHRA.com currently shows 22 Top Fuel, 17 Funny Car, 22 Pro Stock and 20 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries.

Remember, round wins for the U.S. Nationals are now worth 15 points!

Great picks all!

20 active players this week and 4 players with 'carry over' picks from previous events. Remember, this is the last event for the "pick carry over" feature. It will not be in effect for the six-event "Countdown to the Championship" following the US Nationals.

24 different driver combos this week made up of:
* 5 different Top Fuel drivers. One Round 1 head-to-head matchup between #1 qualifier Larry Dixon (2 picks) and #16 qualifier Doug Kalitta (1 pick). There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 7 different Funny Car drivers with two Round 1 head-to-head matchups. One between #7 qualifier Cruz Pedregon (1 pick) and #10 qualifier John Force (6 picks), and one between #8 qualifier Matt Hagan (4 picks) and #9 qualifier Ron Capps (1 pick). There is also a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 7 different Pro Stock drivers picked this week, but no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchup in the 2nd round of eliminations.
* 5 different Pro Stock Motorcycle riders picked but no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. There is a possibility of two head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations.
Good luck all!

Now we all get a two-week break to get ready for the "Countdown" that will start with the 19th race of the 2015 season, the 8th annual Carolina NHRA Nationals, September 18-20 at zMax Dragway in Charlotte, NC.
As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, September 18 in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 3:15PM EDT (12:15PM PDT).
The Carolina Nationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 16 Top Fuel, 16 Funny Car, 16 Pro Stock and 12 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries. As always, the class counts are subject to change.
PLEASE keep checking http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist19.aspx for an updated entry list.

Several changes to the game now that we are entering the "Countdown":
* The "carryover" feature that was in effect during the regular season to ensure that all players had picks for each of the "regular season" events will no longer be used for the remainder of the season. This was originally posted in the game rules at the beginning of the 2015 game.
* What wasn't posted in the original game rules, but going into effect because of multi-week "carryovers" by several players, is any player with two consecutive "Countdown" events without posting picks will be dropped from the game for the remainder of the 2015 NHRA season.

OK, now watch for the post showing the re-set points to start the "Countdown" portion of our game, get your picks posted and GOOD LUCK!
