2017 7th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Time For Your NITRO Fix! Get Ready To Make Your Picks!!!

That is cool Bel

nice dude for sure

Problematic qualifying conditions again with the current weather forecast calling for a high of 80F with thunderstorms starting at 8AM on Friday, lasting all day and changing to light rain at 8PM. Saturday and Sunday forecast is much more favorable with slightly cooler temps and a possible slight chance of some moisture mid-day on Sunday.

And the NHRA website says Friday qualifying is on hold because of rain. The current forecast shows rain continuing through midnight, but clear weather after that.
Looks like this is going to be a 2-qualifying round event.
Revised weather forecast shows a high of 75F for Saturday and 71F for Sunday.

Can somebody try to get hold of super-bee_ski? He hasn't yet posted any picks for Norwalk.
I sent him a 'conversation' reminder this morning but still no picks posted.

Great, but still no response.

Another 'blind squirrel' moment as 'ocdart' (FABO) ended up with 26.0 bonus points after qualifying ended for the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals. He picked the #2 qualifier in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle, the #3 qualifier in Top Fuel and the #9 qualifier in Funny Car.
'johnnycuda' (FABO) was right behind in the #2 qualifier spot with 25.0 bonus points.
'64BEL' was the top FBBO qualifier with 24.5 points.
More good picks!

We have 16 players for the Summit Racing Equipment Nationals and 15 different driver combos made up of:
* 4 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups but a chance of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2.
* 6 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups but a possibility of two head-to head matchups in Round 2.
* 6 different Pro Stock drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups but a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2.
* 5 different Pro Stock Motorcycle riders with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups but a possibility of two head-to-head matchups in Round 2.

Good luck all!

I PM-d him also, oh well
must be out of town or something or working his *** off
OT on the tarmac/flight-deck etc. like he does for US citizens,
everyday day in day out, Thanks Ski...

Nice qualifying picks 64Bel & ocdart

but mine will be race winners :poke: I hope

Glad to see P/SM Matt Smith doing better
after Victory bailing/closing down, screwed a couple teams
it sounds like Polaris stepped Up I guess, from his interview...

I'd like to pick someone other than Harley
or see Matt do well, Tricky Ricky's son...

Norwalk results will be posted in a day or two. Have patience.
Father's Day 2017 was celebrated a week late so I didn't get a chance to watch the entire TV coverage last night (I'm a fan too) - I'll do my best to catch the final two rounds of eliminations and post results no later than Wednesday.
Good thing we have a weekend off!

No biggie

Norwalk winners were

T/F Torrance {I had him}

F/C Beckman

P/S Butner {I had him too}

P/SM Tonglet

I've had some 'blind squirrel' moments in this game, but this is more like a blind-squirrel throwing darts back over his shoulder and hitting a bulls-eye.
Somehow I ended up picking the class winners in all four classes, getting 5.0 bonus ET bonus points in Pro Stock Motorcycle and finished with 191.0 points for this event.
'Budnicks' (FBBO) was in the runner-up spot with 129.5 points.

Here's where the bonus points were earned if you picked the right drivers:

Top Fuel
E.T. - Doug Kalitta, 3.709 during qualifying
Speed - Antron Brown, 332.26 during qualifying

Funny Car
E.T. - Matt Hagan, 3.865 during qualifying
Speed - Robert Hight, 334.65 during qualifying

Pro Stock
E.T. - Tanner Gray, 6.558 during Round 1 of eliminations
Speed - Jason Line, 211.33 during Round 2 of eliminations

Pro Stock Motorcycle
E.T. - L.E. Tonglet, 6.823 during Round 2 of eliminations
Speed - Matt Smith, 196.16 during qualifying

Here are the game point standings after 12 events and halfway through the 2017 season:
1301.5 - Back in Time (FABO) no change in the game standings
1221.0 - Budnicks (FBBO) +1

Finally! A week off to rest up before the 13th race of the 2017 season, and the start of the second half, the 20th annual Fallen Patriots Route 66 NHRA Nationals presented by K&N, is July 6-9, at Route 66 Raceway in Elwood, IL.
As always, your picks need to be posted before Pro Qualifying starts on Friday, July 7 in order to qualify for all event bonus points. Pro qualifying is scheduled to start at 6:15PM EDT (3:15PM PDT).
The Route 66 Nationals entry list is posted on NHRA.com and currently shows 16 Top Fuel, 18 Funny Car, 15 Pro Stock and 16 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries, but the counts are always subject to change. Keep checking http://www.nhra.com/events/entrylist13.aspx for an updated entry list.
