2017 7th Annual FABO NHRA "Pick 'Em" Game - Time For Your NITRO Fix! Get Ready To Make Your Picks!!!

Wow...thanks guys! Didn't think I'd jump 5 spots but I'll take it. LOL

Anybody see the NHRA letter to the pro stock cars floating around?
Select races next year they are limiting the field to 8 cars...
I like PS, too bad it's lame.

Fucken' sad IMO

NHRA pro-racing, all classes & especially Pro-Stock
{they don't really represent anything stock body wise or engine etc.}
Pro-Stock was once a thriving class
sometimes even 32+ cars would try to qualify for,
regularly at every event, only maybe a couple decades ago,
is dying a slow painful death...

Time to show Pro-Mod, Instead anyway...

time to get with the people & see what they want,
not some **** nobody can afford, payouts are a freaken' joke
compared to the expenses/costs & lack of interest & support,
even TV time now
why the hell would anyone put their sponsor $$$ in it,
when doesn't air "hardly at all" anymore ?
That all is killing the class & NHRA Pro racing...

Yeah, Funny thing: "I feel the same way too"
It has become too Corporate!
No more "little guy WINS)
All multi-car teams dominated by a select few
BUT Pro Stock is a different story (in a sense)

That is why I like FAMOSA Bakersfield raceway, 2 annual events, March meet and Fall meet with Old time stuff.

Absolutely, the NHRA Reunion event at Famoso is outstanding! Haven't been able to attend for the past couple of years, but really want to go this year.

I need to attend either the October {?} Nostalgia event
see a bunch of old friends/racers or even the March Meet...
I haven't done either in a while...
I'm afraid I'll get bit by the racing bug again :BangHead:
&
I can't really afford it right now, not how I want to do it :realcrazy:,
If I did, I'd be in 110%, probably a 7 sec. tube chassis or faster car,
not a 1/2 *** deal, or I'm not interested/stimulated enough ...

Maybe latter after dads gone, I'll get back into, no time now...

I see Brainerd is on the list. When were there this year the stands would damn near be empty once the PS cars lined up.

Would like to see more coverage on the factory stock showdown.

Only three more events in the 2017 season...
Here's your Tuesday-before-the-event reminder and update on the entry list for the upcoming Texas FallNationals at Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX, with qualifying starting on Friday.

The NHRA.com entry list currently shows 17 Top Fuel, 19 Funny Car, 17 Pro Stock and 17 Pro Stock Motorcycle entries but those counts can still change.
This event could be a crew chief's nightmare since the current weather forecast shows high temps of 91F on Friday to 92F on Saturday and then down to 77F on Sunday. The forecast also shows a 40% chance of some moisture on Sunday.

Check to verify who's driving before posting your picks.
