Kalitta Motorsports announced today that Shawn Langdon will be moving to Funny Car for the 2018 season.
No word if he's moving into the extra car they built earlier this year for another driver that ended up not driving due to some medical issues or if he's moving into Alexis DeJoria's ride.

Update: On the Friday TV qualifying coverage they said Langdon will be moving in to Alexis DeJoria's funny car for the 2018 season.

I saw that, thanks for sharing

Langdon should do fine in a F/C IMO,
he's a good driver, there'll be a learning curve for damn sure
a totally different beast in a F/C behind the engine
sitting over the rear axel & have to drive them not just point & aim
like you do, in a long wheel base dragsters, little & slow corrections
a F/C is violent in comparison to a T/F 300" dragster

I wish the best for Alexis, now she is leaving because of health stuff...

Congratulations to 'Budnicks' (FBBO) for winning the Top Qualifier title of the 2017 NHRA AAA Texas FallNationals. Almost perfection picking, he picked the #1 qualifier in Top Fuel, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycel, and the #2 qualifier in Funny Car. Those picks earned him 31.5 bonus points. Way to go!
'cuda20' and 'Back in Time' share the #4 qualifier spot with 30.0 bonus points.

More great picks!

We have 15 players for the FallNationals and 14 different driver combos made up of:
* 6 different Top Fuel drivers. No Round 1 head-to-head matchup possibilities, but two possible head-to-head matchups in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 5 different Funny Car drivers. One Round 1 head-to-head between #7 qualifier Tommy Johnson Jr. (1 pick) and #10 qualifier John Force (1 pick). There is also one possible head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations.
* 4 different Pro Stock drivers and no possible head-to-head matchups until the semi-finals
* 4 different Pro Stock Motorcycle riders. Again, no Round 1 head-to-head matchups but we could have one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 of eliminations.

Good luck all!

Results from the Texas FallNationals are going to be a couple of days delayed.
Yesterday was really busy with both Talladega and the FallNationals on at the same time followed by both the Rams and Chargers and then the Dodgers/Cubs.
It's tough when you're a fan of all!
500 miles in Alabama, 4 rounds of eliminations in Texas, 2 football games and a baseball game is a lot of work!
LOL.
I've got a lot going on after work tonight and I'm having dinner with my kids tomorrow night.
I'll work on them and get them posted as soon as I can.

F/C Ron Capps

P/S Bo Butner

P/SM Eddie Kraweic

wow all pro-drivers classes have more than 16 racers to qualify

Hey SBS -
Ya' better pick a different driver for Funny Car...Tanner's grandpa drove Funny Car a couple of years ago.

Come on Bud !!! You can do it this year !!!
Bud - keep it up!
Thanks guys,
even a bling squirrel finds a nut every once in a while

I'm kind of shocked
I'm actually in striking distance now
31.5 pts out from the leader & 4 points ahead of 3rd
not sure I can make it up in 2 races,
kind of depends on stroked340 & cuda20 pick/do

I'll give it my best,
I have certain guys I usually go back too...
Letting them ride, on a roll has helped a bit...

You can go from hero to zero, in this pretty quick...
