I just got a gold membership to this site & wonder if i should have, the more i look through questions & a lot of the answers, this site is quite rude in responses to newbies & people that havent been around mopars before you cant build forbbodiesonly with an arrogant attitude, if yall want to ban me thats fine with me, but its kind of the north & south thang down south we were taught to be polite & helpful, this is a site to help people with cars that we all love & want them to be around a long time long live mopars im not saying everbody one here is an a hole but ther are some if you dont want to help someone then dont, thats fine, but dont respond with some arrogant crappy attitude it runs people off to other sites that are even worse than this one & that does not help the hobby of owning mopars charlie keel

There are folks here that have left other mopar sites and ended up here..I,m not sure if they were run off or what...Got to keep in mind that there will always be a few bad apples...Most of the people here are good people...I really like the 68 charger!!!This summer I will be helping a friend of mine in a wheel chair get his 68 r/t back on the road...He has had a couple of operations and hopefully will be able to get around again!!!

I started getting involved with this site before I even owned a Mopar, and everyone was very cool and helpful, nobody gave me any attitude because I was a newbie. Then I got my car, and everyone has been supportive and made me feel very welcome.

That being said, you're seriously going to go off on some north vs. south "thang"? Give me a break. I'm from California, so that makes me an arrogant yankee? Dude, this is a site about cars- not a civil war era forum on being a southern gentleman.

Yeah, I don't know about all of that. I mean, I understand what you were trying to get at, but don't think you came across the best way possible with it. There are a couple of folks on here that if you haven't been reading their posts for a while and don't understand the way they are, well they can come off like an ***. That being said, that's life and how it is at the parts store I frequent or Home Depot or any other place for that matter.

Now, everyone here knows that I'm a n00b young kid with his first classic. When I first got here I was a n00b young kid (26) with a turbo'd and tuned import 4 banger as a daily driver who wanted a classic now. Does it get any worse? lol. I never received any kind of a negative response, as a matter of fact a great number of people here were actively helping me find my first classic. They were answering my questions, reassuring me after failed attempts, telling what to look for and so on. Then I got the car and came upon a huge host of issues. Look at my signature block, two of the problems they helped solve are linked there so that I may attempt to aid others and pass that information on. These people, however, were from everywhere. Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Arizona and the one that helped me with my electrical issue was from Washington state and he literally drew big arrows on the picture's I took to walk me through with baby steps. The only way he could have made it easier would have been to use crayons. Heck, I'm in Delawere and I'm taking more pictures to help a Canadian MoPar enthusiast out again.

Bottom line is that until now I haven't heard of anyone here caring about where anyone was from, beyond being jealous that they may be able to drive their cars in the winter. The only responses I've seen as stern tend to be an attempt to ensure that misinformation isn't disseminated as a result of assumptions about our hobby.

Hey man, you live in Texas....that's the reason! :D

why is this in the welcome wagon section ? different strokes for different folks, it takes all kinds, some have a dry sense of humor & some have no sense of humor, some have a good sense respect, some have no respect at all, some are bleeding heart tree hugging socialist liberals, some are right wing conservatives, It's ultimately your choice, who you type a response to, in any thread, if you don't like someone, don't respond to them, it's your choice... Have fun here, why stir the pot ?, why get into pissing contests ?, what purpose does it serve ?, we all love Mopars & especially B-Bodies here... There are many guys/gals that come here from other sites, because they are tired of that $hit that goes on, on the other car performance related websites/forums & were there is no respect for others, the biggest portion of the members here are perfectly respectful until provoked to act differently.... Rant over

CDR, I find everyone here quite nice.
.....too much info here to ignore this great site.

& very best of luck to you.

ha ha... that site reminds me of a line in josey wales.... "it's not for eating it's just for looking through"

In this case... it's not for asking questions or trying to answer them ... one slip up and you'll pay... it's just to see what's there

I hope that I can help people someday as much as I have been helped with this site in the last 8 months or so. My dad took my car apart and got sick so I was and still trying to get my car together. It is taking more time then I thought it would but I hope to have it back on the road before he passes for that one last ride he wants. Thanks to this site and people helping me with info and parts I should be on the road in about a month enough so he will get his ride. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I by no means have good writting skills and it does shows so sorry about that. I should let you guys/gals I can take a joke. Jim Milton 1968 Superbee

I live in Cleveland, Ohio but spent 20 years in Texas (Tyler, D/FW) and worked some in Mississippi and west Texas and the Texas panhandle. People up here, and those I' met on both coasts, are just as nice and helpful as those Texas and the south. Welcome to B-Bodies only!

Ive found myself that most everyone her seems helpful and as polite as it gets on a car site, Im sure there are from time to time things said that we may not appreciate but it gos with the territory of being on a site that everyone has a opinion.. I think there is one heck of a bunch of great guys/gals here.. Ive bought and sold parts from members who were helpful in every way, Not had a problem yet anyway, ive gained a lot of respect for a lot of people here with there knowledge and help, Im hear now on account of a PM that a member sent me with a site he read somewhere hear that i was looking into something and left a link to a place that will help me. Yep yep, good folk around here...

Ok;
Uh...I'm lost!
Not quite sure what or who was RUDE to you. My apologies to you.
I love this site. Hoping you'll stay around.
Sorry you have encountered rudeness.
Nice car by the way and most of all, thanks for stepping up to the "Gold membership" It is admirable of you.

Again, I must have "missed" the rude stuff.
I miss a "lot". Half Polish / half Irish and a 20 yr Air Force Vet along with a 11 yr Air Force D.o.D "silly-villian" currently being brain-washed by California politics in the sunny Mojave desert.
