I have a 73 Roadrunner I am restoring, It has a 340 bench seat, column shift Rally red. My question is I have a second fender tag with just a 30 stamped from the back and a N stamped from the top.
My hood has 2 holes drilled on each side as if it had a GTX emblem. Can anyone help me figure this out.

data plate

On your first plate do you see a CTD which means End of first plate and there will be at leist one more data plate. As for holes in hood, these are what are on my 74RR/GTX

that is where the hole are located on my hood, does your hood emblem have 2 pins?
I do not have CTD on my other fender tag
Thanks for replying

pins

yes 2 pins on each gtx emblem, they do not bolt on though, look at the hood holes close, my hood has metal serts in the hood and the emblem pushes on.

The CTD stands for "continued" and means there was not enough room to code all they wanted on the first tag.

Just an FYI, I have a well-optioned 74 RR with a full tag, and a CTD on it also. But there is NO evidence of a second tag. There are no deformed holes, thread marks in them, or anything to indicate there was a second tag. This is just an observation only, I dont want to start a debate.

My Charger 1971 has a second fender tag, too and was built at the Lynch Road plant. Tag says H59. See picture below. What I read somewehere on the net is that the second tag identifies the one who did the last inspection of the car before leaving the factory and/or assembly line. Maybe someone can confirm this.

tag

Heres tags on my 74 RR/GTX well optioned car, not room on 1st tag for all options. See the CTD on the upper right corner of 1st tag. St Louis car.
