383 plug wires

'69 bee 383, mopar electronic ignition with socket style cap. Having trouble finding a quality set of plug wires. Currently an old set of Mallory 8mm wires. Anyone care to provide what set of plugs/wires they run and where they were purchased? I would like a reasonable stock look and to be routed normally.

Stock manifolds?, headers?, expecting correct straight and 90's off the cap? Lots of variables but my Partsmonkey set worked just fine..

MSD is good stuff. I used a set of their "Super Conductor" wires on my 440. Love the spark plug boots
on these, as they can be bent to whatever angle you like (great for header clearance).
They're 8.5mm diameter and the voltage loss on them is lowest in the biz.

yes, stock manifolds. Currently has 90's on the plugs and 90's on the distributor and seems to work well but i can be convinced otherwise. It seems to me the 90's on the plugs would work better than straight. Most I see that say "correct fit" have straight boots for the plugs.

I just returned the MSD wires to Summit and exchange for Taylor. The set I got the contact was loose at the plug. No positive click snap and the boot would actually fall off. Really disappointed as my previous MSD set was great.
Another reason I went Taylor is 5 are 90 degree, 2 are 130 degree, and 1 is straight, so that tells me Taylor put some thought into the fitment. Also Taylor is 40 ohms per foot, so electrical equivalent to MSD.

Hello Ed-did you have to cut wires and fab the boots/connectors, or is the set pre-made? Is there any trick or tool required to bend the plug ends for header clearance...my application will benefit from the 135 degree boot ends for header clearance. Any chance you have the MSD Part Number you used? I bookmarked a couple options but sounds like what you used would be a good fit for my car, 383 motor. Thanks

Oh yeah, you definitely have to cut to fit if you have headers. With the MSD, you'll be making on the distributor
end of the wires once they've been cut to size.
The tool comes with the kit to properly cut the wires and to crimp on the terminal ends.

You don't need any special tool to bend the spark plug boots to the angles you want; the metal conductor in
that end is elongated and is made to bend, so you pretty much bend it how you want it and forget it.
