4 post lift install for dummies?

you need a hammer drill and cement anchors that go at least [i think ] 3 inch in the cement hammer in and tighten down to spec.

got those, it new still in box, so its start from scratch !

Looks pretty straight fore ward to me looking at the instructions. If reading the instructions still leaves you in a fog, you had best hire someone who does it to do the job.

Note at Step 3.. 1. in brackets (if not bolting to the floor skip to item 3).

No need to bolt a 4 post to the floor unless you're using it for daily commercial service. Be kinda dumb to do so, if yours came with the lift rollers to move the lift around if you want to.

thanks, i really didnt want to bolt it down, but, this unit does not have the rollers as an option

yea, i called bendpak and they said they wont fit this model.. dont know why they put the pics in

Interesting that it starts out showing as a boat storage lift.. is this what you wanted??

well, not what i wanted, my best friend bought it, and passed away 2 weeks after he bought it, was still on his trailer. bendpack wanted 20% restock fee, so I bought from his estate to save them the hassle. it is a boat/ truck lift. should have no problem lifting my satellite. i does have adjustable lift ramps, so i can set width to what i need, probably more than what i actually need

ok, so i bought a 4 post lift, no idea how to install it ! anyone have experience?? wont install till mid spring.. it's a Bendpak HD-7500 BLX

remember, explain it like i'm 2 years old !

You may want to find a rigger to install it for you. Remember, you will be under the car on the lift. Do you want to risk not only your car, but your life? But a 4 post is a lot more forgiving than a two post

yea, i have thought about that, but I have no idea what to google to find someone

What rotten luck to finally get your lift and then die.......
the whole thing sucks, he was building his dream garage, 120,000.00 sunk in it, was 95 % done. never got to work on the 1st car in it.
god i miss him.. we were best friends for 40 years.

wow, found a company, 100 miles away from me, will install for 850.00 flat, i supply the oil ( 5 gals AW32 ) and have elect ready..

not bad including that covers his transportation to and from me

what ya think ?

I presume that's you and some friends helping him lift everything into place. Took 4 of us to lift a deck plate and 5 on the one with the lift cylinder in it when I picked mine up second hand. I used my "helper" to assemble it back together and my wonderful other helper to walk my assembled posts into place.

think i'll spring for the 850.00 install, i dont have any heavy equipment to do the lifting , and i dont want to throw my back out.. again.. trying to lift it

Just make sure it's clear what he's doing and what he expects out of you. None of it is light. Even my jack weighs 340lbs...

I have the 9000 pound version Bendpak in my shop. It is very doable if you read the instructions, three times. I assembled mine, wired it, ran it a few times, then bolted it down. I put it in 2009 and has 13,000ish cycles on it.

9000 lbs ? thats a big one, i thought mine was big @ 7500
