426 Hemi Blocks are back!!!

It is wrong with Deck Height? Stock Hemi should 10.725“. Can anyone say me, Casting number same as original Hemi (2468330)? Can anyone write what is quality of Block?

Gen III hemis as called do not have hemispherical Combustion chambers. They have modified wedge chambers similar to a polysperical chamber. The Gen II head is a true halpf of a sphere.

Actually, the old 392's were a true hemisphere & the later 426 had the exhaust valve had to be placed slightly offset to be able to fit between the shock towers.



"Unlike earlier performance engines, the Street Hemi came down the line complete with exhaust manifolds; the Cross-Ram engines had to have their manifolds fitted later. The combustion chamber had been tilted to prevent the exhaust rocker from being too long, resulting in a narrower engine, so they could do a standard body drop in the Dodge Main factory."

Very simple the combustion chambers on gen III are wedge style. The Gen II and Gen 1 are Hemispherical a true 1/2 of a ball for simple terms. Gen 3 have squish areas on both side of valves

the gen 2 pistons have the squish in them too/round tapered sided of the dome . We ran them kissing for 14 yrs. Mr. Hoover said that was just right , back then.
