426 Hemi Motor mounts

Hello,
New to this site.
Pulled engine out of my 66 Hemi Satellite.
Installed new correct motor mounts.
Driver side is specific for 66 year.
RH side same, all 426 Hemi
Inserting the motor with the Pass. RH side installed
I am a good 1" away from the Driver side lining up
with the vertical bolt hole.
Scratching my head why?
Any suggestions?

Picture would help. Once I put passengers side rubber on backwards maybe that's the problem. Turn it 180* and try again. Think that's your problem. After finding that spent sometime. Just turn rubber mount.

When you turn it passengers side rubber insulater it will move forward or backward depending on witch way have it. It can be put on either they didn't make it so it only goes on one way.

if you are using the factory style hemi mounts on a factory hemi K frame the drivers mount is not specific to a 1966 car. Here is a set of reproduction brackets from mega parts. passenger side rubber mount Right Side Motor Mount 1963-65 B-Body Big Block, 1964-71 426 Hemi, Engine Brackets/Motor Mounts Hemi, 148-MM2227 Reproduction, NOS and Used Mopar Muscle Car Parts
B and E body hemi engine brackets do differ.
