426 Wedge in a 66 Coronet?

I'll see if I can find that 67 Belevdere section.

It's from a 4 door Bel II slant six with AC car.

I wonder what they would have used for exhaust pipes? Can't see 383 ones fitting that great.

They would be OK if there was no "H" pipe. The exhaust manifolds used on dual exhaust 383 and 426 wedge were the same, 1964 and 1965.

Those work with max wedge port shape?

I realize the manifolds would be the same but on an RB block the outlets would be further apart and higher than a B block. You would think 383 pipes would have clearance issues. Easy for an exhaust shop to tweak but would the factory go to that trouble on the assembly line?

This appears to be from station B and shows no spring marks, like the OPs sheet. Was it found in the upholstery or dash? it’s also from a different year.

Plants had many printer stations and printers per station. What happened at one printer may or may not be applicable to another printer or another year.

(FYI…..your car was built early compared to its SPD)

BS was found in a 67 Belv II 2 dr hdtp that I had many years ago. I found 3 different sheets in that car only 1 of which belonged to that particular car. I don't recall exactly where it was, but believe it was in the rear upper seat frame based on the lack of spring marks.

On the 4 67 B-bodies I have/had, I have found sheets under the rear carpet - usually in bad condition, in the springs of the rear lower seat and in the rear upper seat frame. I don't recall ever finding one above the glove box.

I lost track that the car in question is a 66 when discussion turned to fonts in the margin on Silver Specials.

The difference in position is minimal, and there is enough flexibility in the exhaust system for the dual pipes to work on either B or RB engines. As for there being an H pipe, I don't believe they were used on a big block B Body until 1967.

There was no RB wedge avail in a 1966
B body.
So correct. No H pipes except street hemi in 1966.

According to Chrysler historical it is a confirmed Grand Spaulding sold car Galen Govier is still doing research on the car currently Unfortunately Chrysler couldn’t find anything about them ever having produced the 426 Wedge in a 66 B Body
