If the car will spend anytime on the street or with street gear ratios, consider a 750cfm vacuum carb. Much more forgiving. If you don't have too much cam, I really like the Edelbrock carbs. Easy to tune and you don't spill gas anywhere changing jets/rods. Same basic design as Ma Mopar used, and you know she's a stickler for for tight tuning.
If you're gonna cam it up (for the sake of discussion, I'll call it more than around
[email protected]"), consider a Holley as they handle low vacuum rumpy cams better. At low idle vacuums, the Edelbrock will be harder to tune.
This is just MHO from my experience, and you'll find as many opinions out there as there are belly buttons.
