Assembling parts for my 67 Satellite build. I've been very impressed with the members technical knowledge and would like some thoughts on the below combination. It's being build for street driving. No racing in mind other than an occasional red light to red light. Would appreciate suggestions on intake and carb. What can be expected hp with this combo.

I have never used that cam but the "sweet spot" RPM sounds like it will work just dandy assuming everything else is correct. Some of the specs are curious though. Also I wouldn't bother with 1.6 rockers with the stock heads. Just get some sturdy 1.5's and 3/8" push rods. For more info you can look up my 77 440 build details in the 12 second combo thread in the racer forum. It's really nothing special but runs quite well.

Compression and cam selection are important so make sure you check with the cam company regarding that. Also get some real volume data so you can accurately calculate compression. I found that 10.1:1 CR with 190 PSI is too much for pump 91 but seems to do well with about 95. Me thinks 9.5:1 and 170 PSI will be the max for pump 91 but I can only hope you have better gas than I do in CA.

as meep said, watch that compression especially for street use.with the numbers you have given so far,i think an edelbrock performer and a 800cfm avs carb will suit you quite well.the avs allows for adjustment in the secondaries, great for street use.also to get good smooth power, make sure you have a good exhaust system.(hedders,or at least performance manifolds)
