440 losing oil pressure

Oil pressure issues...

Had a simular issue. Ended up being Autometer sending unit (electric) on back of block leaking out of the top of it (where wire bolts to it). Lost 2 qts out of 7 qt pan (drained pan and measured oil left in pan) until I smelled oil while driving 35MPH down the road. Brought home on Jardan flatbed. Have yet to call Autometer to give them feedback on sending unit. Hope your issue(s) is fixed.

That's a bummer, considering what I'm considering.

Having intentions of going AutoMeter, including electric oil pressure. Going that route, is it a must to use their (POS) sending unit? Or will stock Mopar unit work?

Back to the relief valve. That is the problem I had. Trouble is it's under the motor mount and you can only get to it from bottom where your fighting the steering box , motor mount , and headers. Mine leaked for a time which makes a mess from front to back then came all the way out which shuts you down in a hurry. Good luck finding and let us know. Thanks. Dave
