440 low/no oil pressure

FYI, you need to manually turn the motor over with a breaker bar & socket while you run the drill to get the oil holes to line up & pump oil into the rockers.
 
If oil pours out at the filter chances are the pick up and pump are ok. My bet is that if it sounded ok that it could missing an internal galley plug.

Doug could be right, if you don't see any external leaks(especially by bellhousing) you could've dropped a gallery plug by the front of cam sprocket.
 
Finally found time to work on this problem. Discovered one of the lifters came completely out of the bore on cylinder #7. Lifter and push rod were just sitting off to the side. I was able to grab the push rod and it rolls straight (doesn't appear to be bent). Is this common for a lifter to come completely out?
 
Would this lifter being out of the bore cause no oil pressure? I'm assuming all the pressure was just coming through this open hole and right back into the pan. So no oil was making it to the top of the valves.
 
No not common, yes, you would have 0 oil pressure with the lifter out of the bore.
 
Check ur rockers,etc.
 
You either have a punctured/broken rocker, or other valvetrain issue. Don't know your setup, but are they stock rockers? Adjustable? Somethings come undone.

Oil pressure from the pump goes to the lifter bores first, so if one has came out of the bore, that will, of course, kill your oil pressure. My question is, how did the lifter get out of it's bore? It doesn't just happen to come out by sitting for a period of time. It may have already been out when it was parked, is my guess.
