I will say this now that I have gotten rid of the stealth heads and went with Bruce Toth's ported assembled heads that the stealths warped on me not that it was the heads fault persay but when I overheated once a few years back and couldn't figure out the minor overheating issue which turned out to be exhaust gas in the coolant which equaled blown head gasket caused by warped head. Other than that ALL other 440source parts I bought have held up over the years since 2010. Water pump and housing. Pulleys and all the small stuff. My 493 eagle stroke kit came from a place in Iowa. Sold the warped stealth heads and used that cash on some kick *** Toth heads around the same price as the 440source. Yes Bruce uses Chinese castings like 440source but he personally takes the time to clean and inspect and make right every inch of it I can't say enough about his work I have pics on another thread I think but his ports are amazingly huge and spotless and he uses the upgraded gear, springs keepers etc all the stuff you would have to upgrade on the stealth heads Bruce includes for the same price!
I have been getting the ich for another motor and was thinking of reaching out to 440source for a block I know they used to have a bunch at one time.other than their heads all the other stuff is still working fine including rockers and shafts, timing chain & gear, a lot small stuff

lmao who the hell dug up this one from the archives? lol this poor bastard had a run of bad luck. that really sux. wondering if there was another underlying issue that caused his big failure? All my 440s stuff is still working keeping fingers crossed, although I have been looking at other rockers and better springs, just trying not to over rev my motor so it will last until that day of head work with new better stuff can be done. As far as being budget minded with high hopes lol please keep in mind that not all of us are delusional about what we are buying and what are the potential drawbacks. As I just stated, in the future I would like to upgrade with head work and better parts, but for now what I have put together works fine and is actually pretty fast ;) We who have little but want to have fun have to be creative with our funds in order to even get close to the goal, so a source like 440s supplying parts at the lower costs is a god send. Even the poor like to go fast my friend ;)
