448 Cubic Inch Trick Flow build

Brent Wheeler runs mid 9s with a mod man and 2 AFBs. Three Holley 2 barrels should be similar in CFM. My bet it is the mod man would be the best 3 two barrel combo.

Thanks Doug
I will have to check the total height of the ModMan. Depending on the height, maybe it could work with a modded airbox with the N96.
I appreciate the input guys.

I picked up a victor intake off this board and already have an 800 AVS Edelbrock carb so I may try that combo. The distributor is a locked out, stock style, electronic unit. Still planning a solid roller as it’s simple and cost effective as the block is not bushed. The Comp 829-16s are hard to beat for this application.

Mike this is really close to my combo. Your just running a step bigger cam & and single plane. Probably a tighter LSA too. So probably a 6500-6700 shift point. I think 665-675 hp & 600 tq is realistic.

It’s very close to yours. The intake will help this one as will the cam. The AVS 800 will give you the edge as far as carburetion, lol. I’m leaning towards this cam package

Being as I have decided without a doubt nor open to debate that a 3x2 intake MUST sit atop my next motor, just like the engine in it now and the day it left the factory, because I want to honor the fact that my Roadrunner is a real V-code car and 3x2 setups put out great HP and torque even compared to modern designs, and look really cool.....
Given all of that, the Chrysler/Edelbrock 6bbl intake I have now is a dual plane so that isn't complimentary to a high RPM engine.
I'd consider the ModMan intake with the 3x2 top plate, but I'm very skeptical about the performance of the ModMan and I also want the intake to work with the N96 hood and airbox.
This is the 3x2 6 pack setup on my new 65 Belvedere. It has the aluminum intake manifold supplied to Chrysler in 1969 before Chrysler switched to the iron intake manifold in 1970 to save on cost.

You also have a 1.0 of compression on me. Are you going to run 1.6 rockers?

I have a 6bbl on my 440 TF240 with a 238/242 @ .050 .620ish lift cam 9.9:1 compression with 91 octane gas it made 590 hp 550 tq.

That’s what I’m talking about. Thanks for sharing. That’s the neighborhood id like to be in. Damn. Look at that torque curve. Have you driven it yet? I bet it’s a riot.

Not on the road yet. Solid roller with 1.6 HS rockers. 112 LSA to take some of the lumpy out of the cam, create more vacuum, and broaden the tq curve. Wanted it to shift in drive with the max wedge governor at around 5700-5800. Custom ground Comp cam per Jim LaRoy.

Sorry Mike didn't mean to hijack your thread!
