I have a Callies 572 4.5” stroke Hemi that I would like to use the stock 426 oil pan and pickup on.
Has anyone tried this to see if the pickup will clear the crank and rods?
I am putting this into a J code 68 Super Bee and would like to keep it as stock looking as possible, so trying to avoid the external pickup if possible.

Thanks,
Craig

Are you racing it or just burbling around?

I have a 4.5 stroke crank in mine and run the stock 6 quart pan and 1/2” pickup

I've seen it done, but it's tight. Be prepared, you might have to fight to get the pickup to fit. As Dirty Harry would say, "do you feel lucky"?

This photo is from Rich Nedbal's book. The block appears to be a World Products cast iron.

Thanks for the replies.
It will be a street driven car with max rpm probably not over 6k rpm.
That picture looks like it would hit the pickup tube, although it sounds like some people have it configured with the internal pick up.
Think I will buy the pickup and see if it fits in.
