63 Belvedere Opinions on what it's worth

View attachment 294728
Interior needs some work in my opinion and the steering wheel sticks out like a sore thumb.
Mopar Mikey have you ever driven a pushbutton car.....lots of charm with us Mopar guys and personally I was only looking for a pushbutton when I bought my 63.
To see any upside price wise I think the car needs a maxie crossram and some maxie exhaust manifolds which are going to cost you around 4K. Depending on the 6 pack setup you could recoup close to 2K I would think.
I have a 69 1/2 liftoff hood car also......multi carbed Mopars are runners!

Sandbagger, never had a push button, had an original 4 speed Coronet. Orig 4 speeds draw my attention more then an automatic, but I'm willing to learn....
Doing the cross ram would be kind of a max wedge clone with a 440, do you think low $30's potential is possible with that and exhaust? Might be trading dollars though with the expense of those parts.
I agree on the wheel, not my choice, what would you prefer, an original steering wheel?

I like '63's...but I am prejudiced :icon_sunny:
First, not too many Chebb's could replace these! but if I wanted a '63 I would pay well for yours.much north of 25 large

there is a guy on this site that wants to trade a complete cross ram set up for a 6 pack set up 63 dodge heads intake exhaust the whole top end that would make the car worth 35k+ seen it on here last week good luck beautiful car

Yes low 30's for a CA. clean black 63 done right is reasonable.
Just curious is the car originally black?
Original wheel all the way, is the battery in the trunk?
63 Plymouths have a style all their own.

You being in California, I feel the cars bring a bit more money than the average price. Why? Not sure. I do know that these two 64's were no sellers on the east cost. The black one sold for $44k and the white one for $50k out west. Both private sales. Not maxie's but a stroked 451 in the black car and a 472 crate Hemi in the white. It's hard to judge, you never know. Most non real maxies (or clones)will go in the $25 to $35k range. I follow the early B market close and these are just my thought. When I first saw that 63 on Craig's List I didn't think asking $27k was out of line at all.

I also agree the stock steering wheel would look better and yes the crossram would be the coolest intake setup on it. That said I love the crossram setup but right now I dont run one on my 63 as I use a single 850 DP carb. It could be cleaned up a tad more under the hood and is it me or does something look wrong with the dash pad over the speedo. It just looks funny in the pic but I cant see it real well. I would say at todays prices it could fetch about what was said anywhere from 17k to about 27k depending on how good it runs and everything works on the car. Myself I love the 63's and I was one lucky guy to get mine as I did not pay much cash at all for mine (less then 3k) but I did a ton of work on the guys cars as thats the deal he made with me. Ron

I agree the 6pk setup is cool but it does kinda look out of place on the 63. You could get a single four carb on the 383 so atleast if you cant aford the crossram the single four carb looks a little more in place on a 63 to me. But its really up to the owner or you and what you like. I run the Indy dual plane and 850 DP on mine and I may go to the crossram one day when my funds are better. Heck just the cool factor of the crossram makes it worth having it as it does look good when you lift the hood on a Max Wedge era car and it has the crossram. Good luck with it. Ron

The top of the cowl looks rusted on the passenger side, might just be the the picture. Under hood over all is rough looking, that might be the picture too. T-stat housing looks like it has been leaking too. Steering wheel is a 5 dollar swap meet part. It has a killer black paint job that gives it the look that we like to see. And it has the right wheels for the car. I'll say (if indeed the under hood is as it looks) $16,500 but if it's just bad pictures, !'ll say $22,000 Thanks for letting us give our opinions.

5 dollar steering wheel ?? Not a stock wheel as I have priced some and its crazy what many want for a stock steering wheel. Ron

I didn't give it much thought at first but what about the side trim that has been removed? Of course it's not trying to be a original or numbers matching car, just something to enjoy.

I passed. It's nice but there were things done in the engine compartment that I wasn't real pleased with, things that I can easily fix but just more things added to the $4K I'd have to spend to convert to cross ram set up.. Overall I'd say it's a $22000 car and my car isn't leaving my garage for less then $25000 cash. So there was no upside for me to trade.

Ozzy...Ozzy...Ozzy

A little flat chested for my taste

If it was a sedan or had a crossram it would have been sold by now.
If it's show quality paint on a solid body that adds to the value of course.
Hard to say without actually seeing the car.
