64 Polara Gen3 Turbo Build

I am feeling for you Bro. Had to repaint my GTX due to a failure between sealer and final color coat! argghhhhhh!

That right there sucks. Sorry to hear it my friend. I guess there is one good thing about all the delays....it gives me time to rethink my priorities for the car. Or maybe that is a bad thing....

I can't believe the issues you have had with these folks....I hope things smooth out going forward for you.

There are a lot of folks out there pay for their first customer with the money from their newest customers these days

Nice build so far I'm in dallas if you have time one of these days would like to check out your build in person

You are welcome to come check it out once I have it back from the painter.

Love the car and the direction your headed in, should be a fun ride for sure! Good luck and I hope you get a break from all the B.S. and get it back all painted up soon.

I found out the shortblock arrived at Modern Muscle today. It will make its way to the machine shop this week. The painter says he just needs to sand the jams and hes ready to shoot the car. Although a cold front came in today so I am not sure if that will keep him from spraying it.

I talked to Dave last night. It looks like we are building a 4.175 bore x 3.90 stroke. That is an aluminum 426 for those that don't speak bore and stroke. Should do really well. aluminum 426 with the 2.9L whipple supercharger on top of it

I can't complain too much, my paint guy is painting for next to nothing. Its going to be painted black, then he is gong to tape off the top and do the sides 2014 gts viper blue. I can't even tell you what he's charging me or he will kill me. Let's just say its about 1/3 of what this paint job should normally cost. Its the one thing I just have be be extremely patient with. He has had the car about 6 months at this point. The car had almost no body work, it had two little rust spots and then some stuff around the windows to fix. It was an exceptionally straight original paint car. Not a creme puff, but about as close as a 50 year old mopar gets to being one :)

It looks like it got sealed and the first color hit the car last night.

I scored some new plates for the car. The old ones no longer applied. I was amazed these were available

Well the car is finally painted. Time to color sand and buff. Then it's getting a red pin stripe down the body line to seperate the colors. The blue came out awesome. I love the color. Can't wait to see it out in th e sunlight.
