64 Polara Gen3 Turbo Build

Time to find a new fab guy? 100 a hour is pretty steep. I paid 7k on my Trans am for custom headers and turbo kit, custom 10 point cage, rear bulkhead and sheet metal, custom front end past the fenders with tubular frame rails etc. Also installing everything on the car from fuel system to cage, engine, trans, front suspension, turbo kit, interior etc.

$7k for all that work/stuff?!?! That's a great deal. All the turdbo pieces for my Mustang was $5k by itself......jealous...

Yeah and really alot more little stuff. He drove 6 hrs last night to swap transmissions with me for that car and I gave him a few hundred for gas and food etc. I think I owe him a extra few G's when I get back and a big steak dinner. He is a friend of mine. I helped him with his build at first and now he is returning the favor.
 
I'm done reinventing the wheel. I'm putting a magnacharger on the car and calling it quits for now. It's going to make 700 rwhp or so. I can run a car timing cover w oem accessories. I ordered some 2 inch tti headers. Now I just need a motor from the builder.

since I am on hold waiting for the motor I am going to strip the car down and send it to the paint shop.
 
Well the car is stripped and it's been at the painter a couple weeks now. Found a little rust around the window trim, but still an extremely solid car. We will fix it all. Cars getting painted a new viper blue.

Get them door handles and key locks off the doors.....I thought I taught you better than that, lol!!!
 
He told me to leave em for now. I will get out there and do it when he asks me to
 
Turbo project went astray. Found an insane deal on a 4.2L kenne bell supercharger. Shouldn't have to push it too hard to make my power goals.

Headers finally showed up after more than 2 months of waiting. Tti 2 inch primaries to a 3 inch merge collector.

Headed out to get them black ceramic coated.

Sometimes I feel like nothing I do with this build works out. So the 4.2 KB will not fit. I would have to cut up the firewall again and they it still may get into the wiper motor. So the 4.2 is completely out of the question.

So here is the FINAL powertrain configuration

PWR 5.7 based 392 @ 9.8:1 compression
Thitek Heads
227/235 at just over .600 lift on a 115 LSA
Whipple 2.9L supercharger @ 12-14 psi to start.....then eventually 18-20 psi.

folks have already made 858/907 with this blower on a slightly bigger motor at 12psi but no one has put the Thitek heads to this blower yet that I am aware of. The outflow ported 6.1 heads by about 50cfm. It should be very interesting to see how it does. Eventually I would like to see it make over 1000 with race gas.
