64 Polara Gen3 Turbo Build

A couple weeks from now this should show up. Simple install and nothing to get in the way.

Sometimes I feel like nothing I do with this build works out. So the 4.2 KB will not fit. I would have to cut up the firewall again and they it still may get into the wiper motor. So the 4.2 is completely out of the question.

So here is the FINAL powertrain configuration

PWR 5.7 based 392 @ 9.8:1 compression
Thitek Heads
227/235 at just over .600 lift on a 115 LSA
Whipple 2.9L supercharger @ 12-14 psi to start.....then eventually 18-20 psi.

folks have already made 858/907 with this blower on a slightly bigger motor at 12psi but no one has put the Thitek heads to this blower yet that I am aware of. The outflow ported 6.1 heads by about 50cfm. It should be very interesting to see how it does. Eventually I would like to see it make over 1000 with race gas.

i am bummed to hear you dumped the turbo. i understand the frustration however. i have always wonder what to do about that front cover... the only way i have figured a hemi turbo build will work is if you remove the inner fenders and build the manifolds up right. still it will be tight. this is my issue. as i do not even have a modern hemi for my build yet. i still can not stop thinking about this. i do know that when i finally start my build it will end up boosted. turbos are my dream but money trends towards doing a procharger due to the same thing you have just experienced.

It looks like I will have one of the very first gen3 setups on the holley dominator EFI. They just finished the production harnesses and I should get mine at the end of the month. I am waiting on a software and firmware patch from holley for the ECM.

The Holley Dominator EFI setup is all here.

I'm really getting frustrated now. 9 weeks waiting on fiberglass from sled City. They told me 4 to 6 when I ordered. Now my cars sitting in the paint shop in primer waiting on a hood, scoop, decklid and bumpers.

Going on 12 weeks with no fiberglass from sled city. They dont answer PM's, their phone goes to a voicemail that is completely full, they dont return calls or emails through their website.

Amazingly I disputed the charges and all the sudden I got one email back from them. Still no ETA on my stuff.

Well one small victory I guess. My headers are back from ceramic coating. These are 2 inch tti headers.

scored a complete interior out of a 2013 srt8 challenger for my polara last night. It should be a very comfy ride.

How well does this fit? I've thought about doing this with my current project. But, I'm not completely sure as to the fitment and not finding much info on it aside from a ton of custom work.

It's really easy. Not much custom work.

Sounds awesome! I've got srt8 Challenger front seats from a '11 for my Plymouth...my DD is a '12 SRT Challenger and the seats are great!

I finally have track in the blower.

Because of my patience on the motor they are going to put it in a 6.1 block for me. So...it looks like the Polara gets a 9.2 to 1 426 gen3 hemi with a Whipple 2.9 blower. Should make damn near 1000 on pump with the 34 extra cubes.
