I made my grandson remove mine. It’s a lot easier that way.
fwi, that tool you bought should do the job for you.Lube the center bolt before using and don't forget to apply some heat to the taper area. Don't get too much, don't make it glow. Hammer with a 2lbs sledge or your biggest hammer to tighten. Then tap the the center of the large bolt. Then tighten again with the hammer. Then tap the center bolt again.Repeat. Like said before when it lets go it will sound like a cannon going off.
What's up with us ? You were just here and I/We didn't even think to look at or get the tool for you to take home with you.I know I'm getting Senile. How about you ? I guess we were B.S.in" and got off the subject.
A guy without a propane torch??It will be just one more tool in the collection of "I have used it once tools", but if you ever need it again you have it.
I do have 4 and 12 lb sledge hammers that should do the job.......the best I can do for heating source would be my wife's hair dryer.
Was looking on amazon. Some real heat without oxy/acetylene. https://www.amazon.com/Handheld-Ign...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=Funny. Get MAPP gas for propane torch burns hotter than propane should heat up hub to help get off beat the crap out of it and be ready to mess your shorts whrn it comes loose. Apply anti seize for reinstall. You will thank me later
That's brilliant, I love it!View attachment 886763

Broke my puller on my 63 ended up going to rerun Henry someone torched the drums off replaced the rear end with a 69 MAPP gas will definitely get you more heat I don't suppose it's drivable now that's the best way to get it off Lucinda nut and drive around the corner couple times who's Lucinda?64 Dodge, 8 3/4 rear end. Right rear locks up, unable to remove both rear drum. have done all the moves, backed off the adjusters, sprayed up inside with WD 40, beat the crap out of the drum all the way around, used a wheel puller, won't budge (yes I have removed the castle nut prior to above procedure). Any suggestions that do not involve buying expensive specialized tools/welders/etc....?
Still waiting for the puller I ordered last Thursday......turns out this Ebay seller is in Vietnam, even though the location listed in his Ebay ad showed that it was Phoenix AZ, a mere 250 miles from me!... He is now giving me bullshit stories about "slow holiday shipping"! Doesn't look like I will be getting it anytime soon.
???Mitch take his spares with him.. LOL
