65 Coronet Wheel ?? Need some input quickly

A friend and myself are heading up to Summit tomorrow to pick up some WV magnum 500 wheels for his car. All stock suspension and body and he is going to go from a 14" to a 15".


He is wanting to put the biggest tire that will fit under the car without issues. What size rim/back space for the rear of it and what size tires are you all running?

245/60/15 on a 15x7 with 4 inch back space and 275/60/15 on a 15x8 with 4 inch backspace is on mine....you can use a 4.5 inch backspace on both front and rear for the Coronet with factory width rear as mine was narrowed hence the smaller backspace.

Thank You.. I think we are going to go with the 15X8 and the 4.5 back space for the rear and the 15X6 for the front..

That will work fine! I have 15x8s with 4.5 " back space and have no clearance problems! 275x60x15 T.A.s
